Lot Steirische Heitmatbund including:
A membership card with stamps from 1941 to 1943 and contribution stamps for the year 1944, a metal membership badge of the organization (manufacturer Grossmann & Co, Wien), a sympathizer badge (more large size), a damaged photo showing the badge on the reverse side of the jacket of the person on the right, an identity-size photo, a German course participation card, an anweisung at Milch and a letter to on the head of the governor of the Reich in Styria dated July 5, 1943. Rare set.
NB: After the German attack on Yugoslavia in April 1941, today's Slovenia was divided into occupation zones between the Third Reich, Italy and Hungary on the instructions of Chancellor Adolf Hitler. Gauleiter Siegfried Uiberreither of Styria then took over the management of the occupied area of Lower Styria / (Spodnja) Štajerska as head of the civil administration (CdZ). As in Upper Carniola, this civil administration was supposed to manage the de facto annexation of Slovenian territories. This administration was closely linked to Gau Styria in terms of personnel and administration. The NSDAP Steirischer Heimatbund (SHB) organization was supposed to include the ethnic German population among its members in order to consolidate the National Socialist claim in this area. To this end, large-scale Germanization measures (in particular German courses) began in Lower Styria from the beginning of summer 1941.
